Lack of sleep...

We seriously have the worst neighbors in the world. They are incredibly noisy, and they made sure to pick the noisiest animals in the world too.

I’m someone that needs peace and quiet to get to sleep. Well, all the neighbors on our street love to have parties that go on until 3am. I’m pregnant; I like to get to sleep by 10pm. My husband won’t let me call and complain to the police, so I’m stuck. He says that I’m spoiling their fun. I really don’t care if I am or not. There’s a reason that there is a 10pm cut off for loud music. People need to get to sleep. Some people have medical conditions where they need to be able to sleep. My husband and his family think that it is rude to complain about noise. I think it’s rude to be keeping up your neighbors until 3am. It’s just common courtesy. It’s hard enough for me to get to sleep being 8 months pregnant, just because I’m so uncomfortable, I don’t need a bunch of noise to make it even harder. Then once the sun comes up, I can’t sleep anymore.

But of course, our neighbors are noisy during the day as well. I seriously don’t know when these people sleep. Our next door neighbor seems to think that they have a band with a trumpet and drums. So they will play the same thing over and over again for hours. Then their idea of babysitting for their kids is sticking them outside and forgetting that they are there. These kids are outside as early as 8am on the weekends, and are outside until 7pm every weeknight. They run around screaming right outside our bedroom window. Our neighbors across the street, for some reason have a cow. This cow moos constantly all day, and it’s unbelievably loud. Then most of our neighbors have the yappiest dogs in the world. I’m not talking just one neighbor or just one dog. It’s probably around 5 different dogs, split between 3 houses, all surrounding our house. They bark at nothing for hours. If they actually do have something to bark at, they will bark at it, and then bark for an hour after it is long gone. Now I absolutely love dogs. They have a special place in my heart. But these dogs are driving me crazy! They constantly bark!

My husband and I are living with my in-laws for the time being until we can save up enough money for a house of our own. His family is Mexican, so they love to have parties and play loud music until 3am. Hence, why they think it’s rude for people to call and complain. They also love having people come over. My in-laws are total sweethearts, but they are so noisy! I complain to my husband, but he says that they are being nice by letting us stay here, so we don’t have a right to complain. So frustrating…they stay up late, wake up early, and are noisy all day long…

The last thing interrupting my sleeping is my husband’s snoring. Now he doesn’t snore every night, but when he does its annoying! I nudge him all throughout the night to get him to try and stop. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. He refuses to do anything about it. Even though he knows I can’t sleep when he does! I asked him to try taking something for it, he refuses. I asked him to try sleeping on his side, instead of his back, he won’t do it. He says that he likes sleeping on his back better. I asked him to move to the couch when he snores, he refuses. He says that if I have a problem with it, I should sleep on the couch.Hello! I’m pregnant! I have a hard enough time sleeping on the bed, how am I supposed to sleep on the couch! So I continue my night long nudging…he hates that I wake him up…but too bad…he’s keeping me up! Of course he says that I don’t nudge him, that I hit him. I really don’t! I’m not mean!

I'm going to try and post more...I've been kind of M.I.A. dealing with everything that comes along with being pregnant...good and bad...hopefully I'll be able to keep it up...

Exciting News!

I think I've gone a couple of weeks without posting. When I started this blog, my intention was to never go more than two days without posting. Oops...

There is a reason for my absence. I just found that I am pregnant! I'll be five weeks tomorrow! We haven't told more than a couple close friends, just because of the risk of miscarriage the first trimester. But we're really excited!

My lack of posting is due to major pregnancy brain! I have a hard time concentrating on things, and I forget things so easily right now. Plus I have all of these aches and pains, then I'm so tired most of the time, so all I do is lay around.

Of course ever since I found out I was pregnant, I've constantly worried about every little ache and pain. My husband was telling me to stop googling every pain because I was freaking myself out!

Anyways, I'm sure this blog is going to be consumed of pregnancy things for the most part in the coming months.

Lets just hope that everything goes well, and I have a healthy baby come January.

Cleaning

My husband last week tells me that we must get everything clean and organized. And this wasn't him telling me that I should do it. I wouldn't respond well to that. But he was meaning that we both should do it.

This was last Thursday, I was leaving at 6pm with a friend to Orange County to go see a play that another friend was in.

We started cleaning at 4pm. By 5pm, he told me that we could stop, and he would finish after I left. Of course, I am not going to argue with my husband insisting on cleaning everything himself. I get back home around 2am. He was still up, and the house was spotless. Everything was organized, and clean. The bedding had been washed, and he had even vacuumed! I was shocked, but it was definitely a good kind of shock.

What women wouldn't want to come home to a clean house? Especially one that she had no part in?

I wonder how long it will be until he grows out of this phase? I'm definitely going to enjoy it while it lasts!

Losing It

I think I am losing my mind.

Last night, I went to go get dinner for me and my husband. Both of us are trying to pay down our credit cards, so we've been using our debit cards everywhere. Well I get up to pay, and I can't find my debit card. I always stick it in the same spot in my wallet. So I had to use one of my credit cards.

I get home, and I begin to search for my debit card. I have a habit of paying for things, and then shoving my debit card in my pocket. So I search the pockets of all my pants, and I still can't find it.

I start freaking out. I really don't want to deal with the hassle of canceling the card. I figure that I must of dropped it somewhere.

I try looking in my wallet one more time. Sure enough, it was in there the whole time. I just had, for some reason, put it in a different spot in my wallet.

I felt stupid.

Stupid Sun

I have really pale skin. I've never been able to get a tan. While others get tan, I get sunburned and then I go back to the same pale skin.

I went to the beach yesterday with my best friend. She has the same kind of skin that I do, so we made sure to get the SPF 50 sunscreen. So we get to the beach, and it's in the 60's. So we decide that we don't need to put it on.

I think we were there for about 5 hours, and by the 5th hour, we both were bright red. We went to the mall afterwards, and we kept on getting stared at. So we finally went into Sephora and put on some of the sample concealer to calm down the redness.

Today, it is hurting so badly! I put some aloe vera on it last night, but it hasn't been helping too much.

This really sucks! Why couldn't I have gotten the Italian skin that my brother and sister have? Nope I had to get the Irish skin!

My husband for some reason, finds this hilarious! He keeps on calling me a tomato.

Product Love

I used to have pin straight hair when I was younger. But once I hit puberty my hair became frizzy and wavy. I've been trying to find a shampoo and conditioner since then that would help calm my hair down. I've tried countless shampoos and conditioners, each claiming to calm down the frizz. But each one ended up failing miserably.

It wasn't until Herbal Essences came out with a new line of shampoos and conditioners that I found one that worked. I tried the dangerously straight one. I was skeptical since I hadn't succeeded in finding one that did what it claimed to. But this one worked! My hair came out straight, smooth, and shiny! I was shocked! A shampoo had never done that to my hair!

It doesn't work as well on longer hair though. When I first bought it, I had shorter hair, and it worked perfectly. Now that my hair is longer, it doesn't always straighten perfectly. My hair still is real soft and shiny, but I sometimes do have to use a straightener. I noticed it straightens easier now. It isn't a big deal to me that it doesn't work as well on longer hair, since I'm sure I'll eventually cut my hair again. I hate the hassle with longer hair.

Name Change

We've been married a month, and I'm just now beginning the process of changing my last name. I really didn't think it would take too long and that it would be real simple.

I was wrong...

While researching what I needed to do, I discovered that I had to get my name changed with social security. I find this out Friday evening, and their office is opened Monday through Friday until 5pm. So I have to wait to take care of it. Apparently the DMV doesn't want you to even bother coming in, until you've had your name changed with social security because they use that to verify. Then I can't have my credit cards changed until my driver's license is changed, because then the names won't match when I use the cards.

It really is a pain...

I wouldn't be a surprise if it takes a month before my name is changed on everything. I wish I would have started this right away.
